Funeral Service is Sunday November 9, 2025 at 3pm at the funeral home Mr. Carl Franklin Meece Jr. of 327 Lakeview Trail, Rockingham, NC departed this life for his heavenly home on November 5, 2025 at First Health Richmond at the age of 76. Carl was born on August 7, 1949 in Anson County. Carl worked in textiles most of his career. He loved fishing, watching his Nascar on Sundays and spending time with his family. He was one of the strongest men we knew. When he set his mind to do something he followed through with it no matter what. Carl was preceded in death by his parents Carl Franklin Meece Sr. and Gladys Goodwin Meece Langley and brother Robert Wayne Meece, Twana Rose Meece, son-in-law Jamie Kelly and his beloved dog Daisy Duke Meece and nephew Tommy Wayne Meece. Left to cherish his memory are his Wife Donna Meece, daughter Tracey Goodwin (Trey) sons Carl Franklin Meece III, (Frankie) John Maness (Jess) daughter Kimberly Kelly, Sister-in-law Dale Cassidy Meece, Grandchildren Hunter Meece (Jordan) Brittnee Gibson (Blake) Branden Kelly, Alyssa Watson, Hunter Otuel. Great grandchildren Kamreigh Bennette, Blakleigh Gibson, Brantly Gibson, niece Susan Meece and nephew Alan Meece (Jennie), special daughter Christy Grooms The family will receive friends for Viewing from 2-3 Sunday, November 9th, 2025 and a celebration of life to follow from 3-4 right after with Rev. Jeremy Wayne Sweeney age 27 passed away September 16, 2025. Jeremy is the son of Joni Chavis Parker and Jerry Neal Sweeney. Jeremy is survived by his Mother, Father, Stepfather, two daughters Harper and Freya Sweeney, one sister Jade Sweeney all of Laurinburg NC. Jeremy Loved his daughters with his entire heart and soul! Jeremey loved playing basketball, he would play basketball for hours. Jeremy has always wrote and sang music. Jeremy was very smart, handsome, and charismatic. Jeremy was a cook years back at Mac’s Breakfast Anytime and CCNC of Moore County. LaVina "Peanut" Crabtree Sellers was born July 25, 1960. She was the daughter of Captain Samuel J. Crabtree and Ellen Johnson Crabtree and was born and raised in Richmond County, NC. In addition to her parents, Peanut was preceded in death by her brother Sam (Sammy) Crabtree; her sister-in-law, Hope Crabtree, and her brother-in-law, Dell Dawkins. Peanut loved and cared for animals. She would fight anyone that abused them. She was always taking in strays and would care for them until she could find them a good home. Peanut is survived by her husband, Danny Sellers; her sisters Lotta Dawkins of Ellerbe and Juanita Watson (Alan) of Wendell, NC. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and many cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3pm at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, Rockingham, with Rev. Charles Bethea officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by Two Brothers Lynwood Wall and Raymond Wall both of Rockingham, NC.

Funeral Services for Mr. William Anthony (Bill) Odom 55, of Hamlet NC will be conducted Friday April 11, 2025 at 4pm at Tally Watson Funeral Service with Sallie Culley officiating. Bill was an employee of Shorty's Septic Tank Services. He loved outdoors and going camping with his brothers. Bill was an avid roofer and carpenter. He was a people person and loved helping others. He leaves to cherish his memory; his children Chelsey and Ryan Odom both of Florida, his mother Judy Turner of the home, his brothers, Rodney Odom (Kelly) of Rockingham, Daryl Albright (Crystal) of Hamlet Charles "Charlie" Odom of the home.
